They are so beautiful. My favorite as well. My Lilac tree took some damage from an ice storm in early 2009 and last season did not have 1 single bloom. I'm hoping it has recovered some this season. Kim
Lucky you that your bushes are blooming. Mine have yet to open. I can't wait to smell their wonderful scent. Our bushes are over 35 years old. I hold my breath ever Spring praying that they have survived yet another winter.

We had that happen here a few years ago; we had a late April ice storm and everything that was blooming died.

They are my favorite too! Mine are just starting to get buds on them.
Lilacs are my favorite...they smell so wonderful. Mine hasn't budded out yet but when it does guess I'll be pulling a rocking chair right up to them!
